2019 – Present
As an Enterprise Community Partners sponsored artist-in-residence and Rose Fellow at Little Tokyo Service Center, I utilize creative strategies to engage affordable housing residents on topics of neighborhood development and well being in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, one of three remaining historic Japantowns in the United States. My work focuses on resident engagement, advocacy around the DTLA 2040 community plan, building solidarity with the neighboring Skid Row community, and COVID-19 related relief efforts. Some projects can be viewed online at: ltsc.org/zine, ltsc.org/community-art-exhibition, and inventionsforlittletokyo.com.
